Manage Mealtime Behaviors

Children on the spectrum cannot be expected to eat when they finally get hungry. They will starve before they put something in their mouth that feels unsafe.

We specialize in evidence-based ABA Therapy that honor each child’s individuality. By blending play, science-backed interventions, inquiry, and intentional teaching strategies, we create environments where young learners thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Programs & Services

ABA Therapy

At Sunflower Behavioral Solutions, ABA looks different. We use assent-based, compassion-centered practices that prioritize choice, flexibility, and emotional safety — not compliance. By integrating ACT and RFT, we support the whole child in a natural, respectful way, serving children often underserved by traditional ABA, including those with ADHD, PDA, and ODD.

Feeding Therapy

Feeding therapy at Sunflower is compassionate, individualized, and rooted in understanding the whole child. We recognize that feeding challenges are rarely just about food — they often involve sensory processing, anxiety, medical history, and trust. Using evidence-based behavioral strategies integrated with flexibility and assent-based practices, we reduce mealtime stress while building skills in a respectful, relationship-centered way. Our goal is to create positive, sustainable change that supports both the child and the family.

Parent Workshops

We believe parents are the most important members of a child’s team. Our parent coaching model is collaborative, empowering, and practical — focused on giving families tools they can confidently use in everyday life. Rather than creating dependency on therapy, we build parent capacity through education, modeling, and real-time problem solving. Together, we create consistent, compassionate strategies that support growth at home and beyond.

IEP Advocacy

Navigating school systems can feel overwhelming — you don’t have to do it alone. We provide advocacy, consultation, and behavior-focused support to help families confidently participate in the IEP process. Whether reviewing goals, attending meetings, or helping translate behavioral data into meaningful educational plans, we work to ensure your child’s needs are clearly understood and appropriately supported in the school setting.
